WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE DUBROOM REVIEWS

The Dubroom reviews a lot of different material, from musical to educational to beneficial and more. We've got music, but also material for artists and producers as well as researchers of more conscious material. As always, when the Dubroom reviews something, this means that this website considers the material at least fair. So don't expect any negative reviews. When it's here, we recommend it. Period. Read the latest reviews on this page, browse by category or visit our blog/forum to add your comments and feedback to the reviews.

THE AKAI MIDIMIX
DUBROOM HARDWARE REVIEW
WWW, July 2021 - With 9 faders, 24 rotary knobs and buttons, here's the Akai Professional Midimix: in total 69 different, completely assignable options to control your DAW on a deeper level than just with a mouse. A review of an affordable DAW controller that will please the producer of Dub.

For mixing Dub, it's quite an improvement when instead of having to use your mouse you can move sliders, turn knobs and press buttons. Mixes will become more intuitive, they are and therefore sound much more lively, resulting in a much more pleasant result for the listener. And, after all, that's what you want as a Dub Producer. More vibes, better!

So, what you need is a "DAW Controller". Connect the thing to your computer by using an empty USB port and operate the console (plus other devices) in your DAW. Over here in the Dubroom, the choice was made for the Akai Professional Midimix as the best value for price.

MUFLON DUB SOUND SYSTEM - IN LOVE WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS
DUBROOM MUSIC REVIEW

WWW, June 2021 - Hailing from Poland, the Muflon Dub Sound System (MDSS) has been around in the online DUB Artist community. And in the Outernet, too. Centered around the Muflon Man, MDSS had music released on Tanty Records' "Roots Of Dub Funk" series and not in the least on online platforms such as VERSIONIST.

"In Love With Righteousness" is a compilation of some of the best Dubwise music that MDSS has released throughout the 2005 right through to 2014. The album is released through Dubophonic, known for their outstanding releases and continuing support for the Online (DUB) Reggae Artist Community. And coincidentally: the muflon happens to be the national animal of Cyprus, home of the Dubophonic Records label.

VIBRONICS - DANGEROUS DUB DRUMS
DUBROOM SOFTWARE REVIEW
WWW, June 2021 - Going further where "Sound System Dub" left us, Vibronics continues to provide the Producers community with a very interesting and versatile pack of material from his enormous archives of musical material.

Don't let the title fool you: yes, there are dangerous Dub drums but that by far not everything included in this pack. You'll get Bass, Keys, Synths, Horns, both Loops and One Shots as well as presets for your favorite Soft Synth/Sampler. It comes with that typical Vibronics sound, which everyone even remotely familiar with UK Dub and Sound System culture will instantly recognize.
