Dubroom is an independant, visitor sponsored
website promoting (DUB) Reggae and
Consciousness. It is this philosophy that
you will find throughout the entire website.
For example, we have several research
projects in which we critically examine
certain things and do not fear to expose
them even when some would feel it's
"negative".
The Dubroom reviews, however, are quite
different then our several research
projects. We feel there is a big difference
in reviewing material, and researching it.
Especially when it comes to that music we
love so much: Reggae Music!
As we want to promote (DUB) Reggae and
Consciousness, we don't publish any negative
reviews. There are four main reasons behind
this philosophy.
The first one is, that we see a big
difference between researching certain
things and promoting them, because we
research things we do not neccesarily want
to promote.
The second one is, that we want to help
people getting to the best Reggae and other
material that's out there. Where many
websites and publications do post negative
reviews, they actually do make it harder
for people to get the right material. We
decided to publish a collection of reviews
under the banner of "all killer, no
filler".
The third one, is that negative reviews are
are very often unneccesarily insultive, stricktly
because a review has to be placed just to
get along with what everybody is allready
doing.
The fourth one is, that we actually post
links to purchase the products we use, when
they're not freely available on the
Internet. We do so in order to make it
possible for visitors to actually support
the website by purchasing the products. And
we don't want to sell any bad material.
