THE AKAI MIDIMIX
DUBROOM HARDWARE REVIEW
WWW, July 2021 - With 9 faders, 24 rotary knobs and buttons, here's the Akai Professional Midimix: in total 69 different, completely assignable options to control your DAW on a deeper level than just with a mouse. A review of an affordable DAW controller that will please the producer of Dub.

For mixing Dub, it's quite an improvement when instead of having to use your mouse you can move sliders, turn knobs and press buttons. Mixes will become more intuitive, they are and therefore sound much more lively, resulting in a much more pleasant result for the listener. And, after all, that's what you want as a Dub Producer. More vibes, better!

So, what you need is a "DAW Controller". Connect the thing to your computer by using an empty USB port and operate the console (plus other devices) in your DAW. Over here in the Dubroom, the choice was made for the Akai Professional Midimix as the best value for price.

VIBRONICS - DANGEROUS DUB DRUMS
DUBROOM SOFTWARE REVIEW
WWW, June 2021 - Going further where "Sound System Dub" left us, Vibronics continues to provide the Producers community with a very interesting and versatile pack of material from his enormous archives of musical material.

Don't let the title fool you: yes, there are dangerous Dub drums but that by far not everything included in this pack. You'll get Bass, Keys, Synths, Horns, both Loops and One Shots as well as presets for your favorite Soft Synth/Sampler. It comes with that typical Vibronics sound, which everyone even remotely familiar with UK Dub and Sound System culture will instantly recognize.

REASON 11
DUBROOM SOFTWARE REVIEW
WWW, March 2021 - Ever since the Dubroom reviewed Reason 3, this website has been publishing enthusiastically about the software. And not without, eer, reason. Propellerhead, now called Reason Studio's, provides a DAW that we consider the most DUB-friendly DAW out there. We concluded this in our review on Reason 8, and also in this review. Read on!

Reason 11 has everything that version 8 has, plus more. That's obvious, and so we do point pout to our review on Reason 8 for an in-depth look into the main features of the DAW. The work-flow, the rack, the mixer, everything is there just like in Reason 8. Let's focus on what's new!

REASON

It will not be a surprise with those people that know the Dubroom and it's web master are strongly supporting Propellerhead's breaking software, especially REASON. The support is so strong, that there is a special part in Studio Dubroom where you can find more material and knowledge about Reason and other pieces of software produced by the Scandinavian geniuses who have been at the forefront of computer-based productions since the 1990's, which is actually quite a long time in the history of digital production capacities for the masses, that would be you and me.
