Sure, it is a rare and obscure DUB album, but it really shouldn't be that way. For Kamikaze DUB contains some very crucial works from one of the original masters of the DUB genre.

Prince/King Jammy was one of King Tubby's apprentices, who came back to Jamaica in the 1970's after living in Canada for a while. He produced the early Black Uhuru, mixed most of Yabby You's works, and is widely known to be the pioneer when it came to digital dancehall.

Kamikazi DUB comes from a time, wherein Jammy's was already a star on the DUB firmament. DUB was kind of hot in Jamaica, where the rest of the world was not even getting ready for the sound of the drum and bassline!

Originally released in 1979, with Sly and Robbie's Revolutionaries playing the riddims as Channel One's studio band in that time, the disc contains ten DUB shots from the cream of the crop of Jamaica's artist community and is mixed with the same skill.
