| There
was a time, in which it was kind of a trend
to release Riddim CD's: albums that
would only carry one riddim, performed by
different vocalists.
In a way, you could see this CD Single in
that category. But there are differences,
too. These differences could all in
themselves be reasons to buy the album.
Let's mention three.
One: it's not so just the vocalists that
ride the riddim. There's a triplet of top
notch DUB Engineers. We count: Scientist,
the Mad Professor, Jim Fox.
When was the last time you heard Mad
Professor mixing an Israel Vibration Dub?
You get the point.
And then we have an instrumental version,
plus a recording with DJ Briggy (Brigadier
Jerry). Oh yes, of course: also the original
Israel Vibration recording of the tune. In
case you missed it.
Two: the price. Last time we checked, you
can get this six-track EP/CD Single for just
two dollars (plus S&H).
Three: it's kind of a rarity, a thing
that not every collector of Israel
Vibration's music might have. when you have
a radio show, a sound system or podcast,
stuff like this is what you want.
So there they are: three reasons.
And there are three more reasons, too.
These reasons are called: Apple, Wiss and
Skelly. That's right, this track comes from
a time wherein Israel Vibration still
contained the original three members.
Some say, that Israel Vibration never
stayed the same, after their unfortunate
group-split back in the 1990's. And there's
a lot to say for that.
But when this CD Single was released,
everything was still all about Feeling Irie!
